Our client was established in 1989 and specialises in the delivery of back to work and employability initiatives. As a result of continued growth, they wish to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Sales Consultant to work in their Cavan office to engage with existing and new employers to allow them to forge long lasting, commercially viable relationships.
To work as part of a sales team and ensure daily activities generate sustainable employment and training opportunities for our customers.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with new and existing employers to generate career opportunities for clients.
Set up, book and attend appointments and meetings with employers to source potential training and employment opportunities.
Organise regular employer events, careers connections and job fairs.
Provide an end-to-end, tailored recruitment service to help employers source the right staff for their company.
Network with potential employers, recruitment agencies and trade bodies.
Develop an in-depth knowledge of the local/regional labour market.
Ensure all vacancies and client requirements are effectively managed/recorded on internal MI and CRM systems.
Effectively advertise and promote employment opportunities within the various offices.
Liaise with the training department to ensure adequate training provision is available to meet the skills requirements for employers.
Assist Employment Coaches to appropriately match clients to employer vacancies.
Assist clients with guidance in C.V. preparation/enhancement to allow them to effectively sell themselves to hiring employers.
Ensure all clients are fully prepared and screened for interview.
Complete/collect appropriate paperwork for employment verification purposes.
Provide in work support for both clients and employers.
Attend and contribute to weekly operational meetings.
Report accurately weekly and monthly performance and activity to Line Manager.
Prepare and present written and verbal reports to Line Manager as and when requested.
Adhere to sales strategy as outlined by Manager.
Consistently achieve individual sales targets.
Undertake additional duties when required to meet the needs of the company.
Comply with Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities policies and provide these policies to employers and clients with whom the Company works.
Leaving Cert (or equivalent) with a min C or above in 5 subjects to include English and Mathematics.
Previous demonstrable experience in sales and business development.
A demonstrable track record of having met and exceeded targets in a sales role on a consistent basis.
Experience of building and maintaining effective business relationships with internal and external customers.
Excellent knowledge of the regional labour market.
Strong knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent presentation, negotiating and influencing skills.
Strong time management skills and ability to manage own workload and prioritise essential/key tasks.
Self-motivated and resilient with a desire to succeed.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes or ability to demonstrate alternative method of being able to fulfil any travel related duties of the role.
Willing to travel across Ireland on a regular basis subject to the demands of the role.
Level 5 qualification (or above) in a relevant subject (e.g. business, marketing, sales, recruitment) (*must also demonstrate that they have achieved the min 5 passes as Leaving Cert level).
Experience of telephone sales.
Experience in business to business sales or sales experience gained within the Recruitment industry.
Experience of direct sales within a commercial environment.
Experience of conducting group presentations.
Strong knowledge of government funded employability programmes.
Established/strong knowledge of potential recruitment and training needs of various sectors.
